BongWzrd...while Trey practice, practice, practices for this summer, will you be hitting that bong?

I love these types of posts...as if it's Trey's job to get you off musically.

Although Trey may never reach the peaks that he has in the past, that's fine with me because IMHO Trey played great this weekend...period.

If Phish's music never got better than it did this weekend, that would also be fine with me, because the music was great.

Maybe not as great as it was in 1992 or 1997, but I don't really care because it's still great.

I'm just happy they're back...and am just as happy with what they gave us as if they never improved an iota, because it's enough for me that they're back.

"as if it's Trey's job to get you off musically" - what the hell else is his job for the amount of money they are demanding?

If you have tix to any other shows and didn't feel Trey practiced enough to justify the ticket cost for any of the three Hampton performances, then PLEASE stay home. I'll be more than happy to buy your tix for the rest of the tour.

BTW, at todays ticket prices, $49 face value for a Phish ticket is a freakin' steal...especially when Phish could have EASILY charged two or three times that amount and still sold out in less than ten minutes.

Don't worry - I'm not paying to see them. If you enjoy them, that's great. Have fun - sincerely. And if it is only a $50 ticket, for a band of that magnitude playing those size venues, that is a relative bargain by today's standards (although, for the life of me, I can't understand why folks were scalping in the high hundreds and into the four figure area for tix). I've got nothing against PHISH - they just don't move me. Then again, I could go off on how great Wilco is with Nels Cline (a criminally underrated guitarist) and get a lot of blank stares.... I'm willing to be proved wrong about Phish, but to date it hasn't happend, and I did visit the links people posted. I actually hope that with their comeback, they make great, new music, and make folks happy - there are too few bands doing that. But I still think that part of the interaction/"contract" b/w them and their
fans is for each to get the other off. However, I wouldn't read too much in their first 3 shows back after a sustained hiatus. The next few months should tell the tale...
