I got an Oteil and the Peacemakers show that I'd like to share. Their webpage states they are OK with trading, so is that enough 'permission' or does the band need to specifically state that they are OK with being a part of etree LMA? I've got emails posted on their forum, but it's questionable whehter any of the band members will answer that...otherwise haven't been able to find any references for anyone I can specifically ask. Does anyone have any advice to offer?

we would need to have a simple email be sent by the band or on behalf of someone who represents the band.

they can send us an email etree@archive.org stating that they would like to partake in the LMA and allow their recorded shows be shared on this site.

Hope this helps,

OK, thanks...that's what I figured just because I've noticed that some bands are Ok with taping and trading, but they still don't want for their stuff to be on LMA. I wonder why?

Some bands think that trading 'fan-to-fan' is better than downloads, because it encourages fan interaction...

Some bands have lawyers that think they will lose control of their rights if the music is posted online...

New ideas take time to catch on, just be glad there's so many enlightened musicians already.
