This kid brings it. If you get a chance to see his band on the Bluegrass Underground PBS show... incredible!

Molly is unbelievable. Two time (consecutive) IBMA Guitar Player of the Year. William was nominated this year, but the crusty old guard will likely never properly recognize him or his band because of his family history with the law. You know...all the stuff that writes the perfect bluegrass tune.

As a side note, the '48 D28 he's playing was given to him by Bryan Sutton earlier this year. Several years back when we were in Tennessee, I went to Gruhn Guitars looking for an octave mandolin and (finally) got to visit the 2nd floor. Got the tour from Mr. Gruhn himself. I had the great pleasure and fortune to play this guitar about a week before Bryan bought it.

To date, none of the mojo has transferred. However, I remain a work in progress.

Last time at was at Gruhns it was two locations ago, don't even know if he had a 2nd floor. I sat on one of the barstools and watched a guy play 4 or 5 different F4's and F5's for over two hours, then flipping out 5 grand for the one he liked. The story of how George actually became the market authority on vintage and collectible instruments is a capitalist roadmap that I was interested in applying to a different field.

Anyway, the Bluegrass Underground show is incredible. Outstanding acoustic jamming.

Searched for the Bluegrass Underground show you referenced but it appears you have to be a member to view it. If you know of other links please post them.

Better start searching & working your connections now, that's a sold-out show. Good luck!
